Modular concept

zMaint (Managed Software Services on System Z) is a standardized managed service for maintaining mainframe software on your IBM Z system.

Its modular structure allows you to select the service level that is right for you, from pure software installation to comprehensive software maintenance and support for operations.

zMaint supports all process steps for preventative, corrective and optimizing maintenance of z/OS systems, as well as individual z/OS software components regardless of your installation method.

zMaint maintanance dialog

z/OS software maintenance consists of many repetitive process steps. With the zMaint maintenance dialog, we have succeeded in automating these. After incorporating your system modifications, we are then able to perform system maintenance on a dialog basis at the push of a button, in a way that is uniformly effective, high quality and free of errors every time.

The zMaint maintenance dialog guides our mainframe experts through a strict procedure. Here, it is only possible to start interdependent installation steps once the previous step has been successfully and automatically checked. Every step in the zMaint maintenance dialog is clearly recorded.

In terms of infrastructure, all the zMaint maintenance dialog requires is IBM z/OS standard software (IBM Communications Server, IBM TSO/E, IBM ISPF/PDF, IBM REXX, IBM JES2/3).
