AKI Power Systems

Since 1986, AKI Power Systems has been ensuring that its customers’ operations run smoothly as a specialist in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
The family-owned business, now led by Axel and Steff Kiene—the founders’ sons and the second generation of the family—handles all tasks related to UPS, batteries, and emergency power supply in both project development and ongoing operations—from consulting and design through implementation to service and maintenance.
With nineteen employees, AKI Power Systems serves medium-sized and large companies as well as public sector organizations. In addition to traditional industrial business, the AKI Power Systems team also carries out projects with special or highly complex requirements. One example is equipping operational facilities in tunnels with UPS systems and batteries. Supporting remote wind turbines is just as routine as equipping commercial buildings in downtown locations—traffic closures and the use of mobile cranes included.
AKI Power Systems’ strengths lie in consulting, design, and the management of often complex projects. As a specialized subcontractor, AKI Power Systems integrates seamlessly into large project teams.
