NVIDIA A40
Next-generation server-based workloads
Reliable and powerful GPUs are needed for the ever-increasing computing power. The NVIDIA A40 GPU handles the growing challenges and enables versatile and parallel usage.
Through the virtual workstations, several different workloads can be processed simultaneously. This allows the highest demands on professional graphics to be served as well as performance-intensive AI models to be trained.
Next-generation visualization performance
The NVIDIA A40 is designed, built, and tested by NVIDIA for the most demanding visualization, AI, simulation, and compute workloads in the data center. It combines performance and function to enable large-scale display experiences, VR, and broadcast-quality streaming. This, in combination with NVIDIA Mosaic multi-display technology, switches a multitude of 8k monitors into a single crisp image.
The performance can also be expanded at will. NVIDIA Quadro Sync II lets you synchronize multiple NVIDIA A40 GPUs to create visualization surfaces of the largest scale.
Data science teams also benefit significantly from the 48 GB of GPU memory. Handling the largest memory-intensive datasets and workloads is greatly improved, and if 48 GB is not enough for your team, scaling is possible with NVLink so that the Data Science team can access a 96 GB GPU memory.
The NVIDIA A40 features an energy-efficient dual-slot design, is twice as power efficient as the previous generation, and is designed to fit into a wide range of servers of diverse mainstream systems. Furthermore, the NVIDIA A40 offers a secure and measured boot process with a hardware-based trust anchor. This ensures that the firmware has not been tampered with or corrupted.
